My g-g-grandfather was Patrick Kearns, married to Mary Pidgeon. They had my g-grandfather,Martin Kearns in 1845 and he was baptized in St.Rose Church,Carbondale,PA.Martin married Bridget Biglin of Carbondale and they had 9 children, the first was my grandfather,Henry[called Harry]Kearns in 1869.Their name was changed to Kerins by 1878.I don't have any info on my Patrick and I know at some point our family came from Ireland.I have a Patrick Kearns dying Jan.16,1895,but I don't know if he still lived in Carbondale. His son Martin died inCarbondale in 1892.If you can see any ties, please reply. This is the first time I saw anything so close to my names. How could it be that there were 2 Patrick Kearns married to 2 Mary Pidgeon?I have so many Pidgeon names on death notices from Carbondale Historical Society, but can't fit them in yet with my Kearns/Kerins till I get more on our Mary pidgeon.
