While at the library copying obits for someone, I managed to get a copy of the following obit. I'm not related to this person, but I thought I would post it in case it is helpful to someone.

KEARNS - Mrs. Dorothy (Bowers) Kearns, died yesterday at her home , 133 Parker street, after a lenghty illness.She was a former member of St. Peter's parish until her removal to St. Margaret's parish a few yars ago.Possessed of a genial disposition and pleasing personality, Mrs. Kearns counted a legion of friends who will regret her passing.She was a past president of the American Legion auxiliary, a member of the Ladies auxiliary of Spanish War Veterans, the 26th Yankee division auxiliary, the Adelaide Fitzgerald Cadets, and was always active in all affairs connected with these societies.She was also a member of the Married Ladies Sodality of St. Margaret's church.Besides her husband, Thoas. D. Kearns, she is survived by one sister, Mrs. L. H. Bezanson, and one nephew, all of this city.
