Hi Everyone,

I am (probably like most of you) trying to complete a comprehensive family tree. My grandfather, Michael Kearney (b. circa 1908), grew up on a farm on leased land in Slea Head just outside of Dingle in Co. Kerry Ireland. He and my grandmother (Nora Kavanagh, Ventry, Co. Kerry Ireland) eloped to England and then Canada around 1940 as my grandmother's family disapproved of the match. I've been able to reconnect with my grandmother's (Kavanagh) side of the family but have been unable to connect with members of my grandfather's family. As my grandfather died at a premature age in 1962, little is known about his family in Ireland as neither of my grandparents were forthcoming about their families back in Ireland (old hurt being the culprit I'm sure). I know that his sister married an O'Se from Ventry but that is the extent of the information that I have. Any help would be much appreciated as I am trying to complete a family tree for my son (due February 2009).
