James Kearney - Fenian prisoner to Western Australia

I am searching for any early information on my Great Great Grandfather James Kearney born Tipperary, Ireland - March 1846 to Thomas (or James??) and Maude (maiden name unknown). Transported to Western Australian aboard the "Hougoumont" convict ship as a Fenian - political prisoner - arriving in Fremantle 10 Jan 1868. Granted free pardon 1871 and married Catherine Tobin 19 May 1873. Children James b.1873, Patrick b. 1875,John b.1877(my great grandfather) and Thomas b. 1879.

I would appreciate any information on James prior to his transportation to Australia - perhaps other siblings etc.

Any information would be great as I have hit a "brick wall"

kind regards
Robyn Kearney
