I am helping a friend research her Carr line. She also comes out of John's line, and was spelled Kear. John died on Jan 6, 1881. Her line is:

John b. abt. 1798 died 1881
Thomas Kear (Carr) b. June 11, 1853 d.June 15, 1914
Amos Carr b. Sept 2, 1884 d. Apr. 20, 1941

Amos lived in Sevier Co. TN and moved to Virginia later in life.
