Hi Jerry, it is possible that other branches of your Keane/ Cain family are represented in the Cain DNA project at www.familytreedna.com. That's how I found that my Cain family who left Ireland in 1848 match the Keanes of Co Galway.

There are of course a number of separate septs or clans named O'Cathain, in the north, west and southwest of Ireland. Again, a Y-DNA test would tell you which sept you belong to.
