I have some ancestors named Keane who mibrated from County Mayo, Ireland, to New Zealand in the 1860-70's
The information from my Great Grandmothers Death Certificate says she was
Born Mary Jane Keane in County Mayo, Ireland, about 1859.
Her father was William John Keane a Chemist
Her mother was Mary Jane. Single name not known.
She married Nathaniel John Blair in Auckland in 1875. 16 years old.
They moved to Sydney, Australia, in about 1880.
Mary Jane Blair died on 28 January, 1907, in Sydney
I do not know any more about what happened to Mary Jane's parents or whether she had any siblings in New Zealand.
I hope I have been some help & you will pass on to me any information you can find if we have common ancestors
