Hi Julie. There may be a connection because the location and date is about right. My great grandfather was William Henry Kean. He was born in 1860 in Manchester and was a police constable. His father was Michael Kean born in 1832 in Liverpool. Michael married Ann Worthington in Manchester in 1851. Michael's parents were from Ireland. Maybe Thomas and Michael were brothers or cousins.
