Hi Valerie, it is nice to hear from you, and I am happy to try to answer your question. I noticed that you listed TJ Keahey as the father of Archie, which I have seen before, but I have also seen Archibald Keahey's dad listed as James Keahey, Jr. Do you know if TJ Keahey is definite? As far as Keahey goes, the name is Gàidhlig (Socttish Gaelic), and so the spelling changed quite a bit. I have seen it spelled MacKeachey, McKeachey, Keachey, Keahey, MacChachoy, Kackey, Cathey, and many other ways. It would have originally been pronounced like "cat" minus the "t" plus "hee". My line changed the pronunciation to Kay-hee over time. The Keahey's in America are all connected, it is just a matter of how and when. Where did your Keahey's live in the late 1800's? That is a clue. Some were in AR, some in Tx and others stayed in AL and MS, and this helps to determine who they descend from fairly quickly. Thanks again for getting in touch. Andrew
