This is an update to message #25 which reads: Searching for any information on Maud KEA, d. about 1927, probably Shreveport LA, m. (1) J.W. BROWN, 4 Mar 1907, (Shreveport?) Caddo Parish LA; (2) Edgar Logan OGLESBY, b. possibly Forney TX, d. May 1943, most likely Shreveport LA. Her parents were Fenley L. KEA and Mary R. RINER, b. 4 Jan 1854, d. 13 Aug 1950, Shreveport LA, buried Greenwood Cemetery.
Maud and Edgar Logan were living in Shreveport in December 1922 when they adopted a 5-month old baby boy named Jimmie from N.C. & Anna WILLIAMS. Any help will be most appreciated.
BUT SHOULD BE: Searching for any information on Maud Elizabeth "Bessie" KEA, b. 29 Sep 1880 in GA, d. 6 Jan 1929 in Shreveport, Caddo Parish, LA and buried 7 Jan 1929 at Greenwood Cemetery in Shreveport, Caddo Parish, LA. Her second marriage was to Edgar Logan OGLESBY, b. 4 May 1877 in Red River Parish, LA, d. 10 May 1943 in Shreveport, Caddo Parish, LA, buried 12 May 1943 at Greenwood Cemetery in Shreveport, Caddo Parish, LA. Maud's father was Fenly L. KEA, b. 6 Mar 1851 in Charleston, SC, d. 26 Oct 1904 in Shreveport, Caddo Parish, LA, buried 27 Oct 1904 at Greenwood Cemetery in Shreveport, Caddo Parish, LA and her mother was Mary R. RINER, b. 4 Jan 1854 in Emanuel County, GA, d. 13 Aug 1950 in Shreveport, Caddo Parish, LA, buried 15 Aug 1950 at Greenwood Cemetery in Shreveport, Caddo Parish, LA.
I have a copy of an adoption record in which E. L. (Edgar Logan) and Maud (KEA) OGLESBY adopted Jimmie, b. 26 Jun 1922 from N. C. & Anna WILLIAMS. The adoption was done by a Notary Public on 5 Dec 1922 in Caddo Parish, LA and Jimmie was renamed Logan Jimmie OGLESBY.
I am looking for information regarding the adoption or any of the above mentioned people. I appreciate any help.
