James is reported to have been born in Kentucky but appears in Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana around 1860. He is listed as having served in the Confederate army. He married Laura Kimball about 1866 and moved to Texas about 1880. He died in September 1900. Does anyone recognize this individual and have any information on his parents?
