My son-in-law is Donald D. Kays b. 1947 in Seattle, Wa. Bro is Ed Kays. Father was David Kays, b. 1921 son of Hallett Kays b. abt. 1900, m. Ellen McKensie. Trying to help him find his ancestors and was told there was a book from Indiana about the Kays family. I live close to the Archives in Seattle and will get the census records for him. Is it true about Francis Scott Key and the change of the name from Key to Kays? Would be glad to give you info of our Kays family. Would appreciate any help you can give him as he has just started his family tree and of course, Mary Ann Kays ch. was William Richard Boren who was a real pioneer of Seattle and there are many streets and areas named for him. Thanks for any help. Bettie Russell bbrussell223@juno.com
