Hi Gary, Sorry I haven't replied. Life gets in the way sometimes :) Lydia Kaylor married Evan Carmack. They died in Dent County, Missouri. I don't know (but have an idea) where they are buried. Their daughter, Elizabeth, (aka "Betsy") married John Young. And, John's brother, Christopher Young married Metaphne "Tapney" who is said to be a sister to Betsy. I have also seen her name as Watters and as a sister to Darrinda Watters who married Daniel Kaylor (a younger Daniel). This Daniel and Darrinda (called "Dorrie") lived in Dent Co. MO. Evan and Lydia also had a son, William, who also lived in Dent Co. The Kaylors are not my direct line, but my interest in them is due to their connection to my Young family. John and Christopher Young were brothers to my great-great-grandfather, Israel Young. They were all the sons of Charles and Mary Young. Charles was born in VA (according to census records) in 1787. We don't know what county. We do know that he was in Floyd Co. KY by 1827 when he purchased land on "Big Mud". He sold that land in 1833. At that time, he and Mary are described as being "of Putnam Co. IN). I tell you this because the Crums (Charles had a daughter who married Zachariah Crum), the Arnolds (another daughter married Thomas Arnold), the Carmacks, the Kitchens (another daughter married into the Kitchen family) etc. seem to have been in the same areas. And, I have found these same families in the region of VA where you list your Kaylors. And, our Youngs did have a connection to your Kaylor family. Further, they all settled very near each other in Dent Co. MO. So, that too is of interest to us in our research. Anything that you could add would be most appreciated. And, if we could add to your information, we would be happy to do so. (ie. Young-Carmack info---as it pertains to our clan) Joan Notify Administrator about this message?
