I am currently searching for a Mr Kaye who is/was my husband´s maternal grandfather. We have practically no information about him but we know he comes/came from Yorkshire (Cudworth? Huddersfield?) and that he married Margaret (Peggy) Brooksbank. They had a daughter - Shirley - who was born on the 11 Dec 1944. The marriage only lasted a couple of years. Shirley was later adopted by Margaret´s second husband and has never had any contact with her biological father or grandparents (who we believe had a shop in the area.)
Please help us solve a family mystery.
