Only additional info Ihave to hand is that I think he was Joseph John, he spelt his name with the E ie Kaye in Australia, he arrived with money to invest and he may have had some association with Elmsall as he and his partner called their inn the Elmsall Inn.
He had about 10 kids. I'll get their names and see if they reflect his siblings names and be in touch again in due course.
