Kaye Family Genealogy Forum

I have now followed Joseph and Benjamin Kaye the two youngest sons of Benjamin Kaye and Grace Calverley of ELLand to their homes in Nova Scotia and met many of their descendents on a recent visit. Joseph built Elland Hall in Halifax Nova Scotia in 1856 and became an Alderman of that City and his brother Benjamin farmed 100 acres at Acacia Grove the home he bought from Charles Ramage Prescott in 1861 and which his widow Elizabeth left to her heirs in 1994. This is now a marvelous Museum called Prescott House. Many thanks to Genforum and its respondents whose information made all this possible. We are, however, still looking for John Kaye, Benjamin Kaye's (b 1785)father who was probably born in and around Elland or the Parish of Longwood, Huddersfield. Did Benjamin the elder have brothers and sisters and does anyone know of this family?
