Hi Jim, I saw your posting and wanted to let you know that there is an older posting on this site by MarshneeKay, Dec 27,2001 who have a James Kay with a son Robert born 1791 died 1841 from Carnock,Fife. Sounds like it might be your relative. I too have Kay's and Kaye's in my family from Scotland but I don't think we are from the same area. Hope this helps your search, Debbie Elliott ( Kaye)
