August 3, 1827 Robert Kay purchased a Bible. He then entered his birth 26 March 1784 in Dundee. His first wife, Mary Ann Young (m. 13 Fed 1812) was born 1786 in Dublin. She died 22 June 1822. Children: Robert Jr 1812 in Tobago; Elizabeth 1817 in Niagara; Mary Ann 1821 in Niagara. Then Robert married Mary Thompson in 1831 (d. 1832) and Charlotte Munro in 1834 (d. 1865.) There are many births recorded.
Robert and Charlotte are my direct decendants. Most of the births prior to 1865 are recorded as Niagara. After Aug 1875 they are recorded as Alsborough, Elgin Co, Ontario. My grandfather, William Ewart Kay bas born 21 August 1880 in Ontario. He married Lucy Evaleen Phipps at Grassy Lake, Alberta 18 March 1909.
