Hello Michael,
This is Gina Ellis or (Mary Shaw) you may know me by, I am cousin to Ena, I did e.mail you but never heard from you, so I dont know if you ever recieved it or not, but Yes I too am tracing our family tree's, and I am trying every avenue to find out more about the kavanagh family,
I went on the 1901 Census in Liverpool Central Library, and found a Thomas Joseph Kavanagh registered in pembroke as a Seas Mate, now I always thought he was a ships rigger, but I do know that he used sail in and out of Pembroke so I think that may be him, he was down as being 26years old in 1901, which would make him born about 1875, also I think Grandmother Georgina Kavanagh (nee Morgan) was born in Wicklow as I have her Baptism certificate saying that she was Baptised in St Paticks Church Wicklow on the 22nd May 1870, also I seem to remember Mum telling me that her Father was about five years younger than her Mum, so the dates all tally up.
Please reply to me on [email protected] if you would.
Gina.
