I was born and raised in Marceline Missouri, in 1935. My father Frank Kauzlarich was born in Marceline in 1901,shortly after his father and mother came from Croatia. My grand parents names were Blaz Kauzlarich, and Josephine Pausha. My mother's father came from Croatia, about the same time period and his namr was Paul Cunda. The last name was later changed to Kondy. He married my grandmother shortly after his arrival, she was a widow with children. It was my understanding that Blaz and Josephine were from Fuzina, which may have had a name change to Fiume, that borders inside Austria. The name Kauzlarich and Kauzlaric, I am told, was very common in Croatia, just as Smith or Jones is in the U.S.A.
