Looking for descendants of Kaufman to participate in a "Kaufman DNA Surname study" which was recently launched using the facilities of "familytreedna". If you are male and a direct descendant of any branch of Kauffman (all spelling varieties) you can participate. First objective is to connect various branches of the Isaac Kauffman/ Anna Streit family. If you believe you descend from one of the sons of this 1737 immigrant, then please contact us for more information. Other Kauffman lines are wanted. It doesn't cost anything to learn more, but there is a cost once you become a DNA donor. The actual donor procedure is a simple cheek scrapping, about like rubbing the inside of the cheek with an extra large Q-tip. "FamilytreeDNA" provides the kit.
