OSCAR L. MORRIS
Oscar Lee Morris 114 1st Ave., LaSalle, died early Saturday morning at Weld County General Hospital. He was 85.
Morris lived in LaSalle since 1911. He became postmaster in 1920 and retired from the postal service on Sept 30, 1954.
He was born at Braymer, MO, Feb 19, 1887. His first wife, the former Mary Elizabeth Kauffman died in 1921. On July 27, 1929 he married Henrietta McFarland, who survives him.
Morris was a member of the LaSalle Presbyterian Church and the National Association of Retired Postal Employes of Washington, DC.
Surviving in addition of his wife, Mrs. Henrietta Morris, are three daughters, Mrs. Tom
(Beatrice) Seery of Greeley; Mrs Walter (Barbara) Wolford of Casper, Wyo and Mrs. Dorothy Anderson of Denver; two stepdaughters, Mrs Geneva Geis of LaSalle and Mrs. Verna Samuelson of Denver; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 pm Monday in the Macy Allnutt Drawing Room. Interment will be in Linn Grove Cemetery.
