Susanna (Susan) C. Kauffman, Iowa, Neb, 1906

I seek information of, and the whereabouts of Susanna (Susan) C. KAUFFMAN-BEEBE and her daughter Zella BEEBE in 1906. In particular, I wish to know if either Susan or Zella may have been pregnant and given birth to a baby girl, Mildred BEEB, in November of 1906.
Mildred BEEB was my mother and was adopted at the tender ageof 21 days in December of 1906 by Ira BACON and Florarillia YOUNG-BACON and became and was known as Mildred BACON ever after. The fact of this adoption was just discovered in 2008. The adoption is recorded at the Recorder's Office, Creston, Union County, Iowa, as a simple contract. The natural mother's name got recorded as Mrs. Susannah BEEB of Des Moines. I have not seen the original adoption contract and it might not still exist. The Recorder's ledger is just a copy in the handwriting of the Recorder. This could account for the spelling of BEEB for BEEBE.
I believe that there is some circumstantial evidence that either this Susanna C. KAUFFMAN-BEEBE or her teenage daughter Zella may have been my mother Mildred's natural mother.
I will be interested to receive any information on the lives of Susan and Zella. The most urgent questions remain the possible 1906 pregnancies of either and where? Birth may have been in either Iowa or Nebraska.
This will enable me to rule in or out these subjects as potential ancestors. Please reply.
Thanks, Bert Young
