Death of C.S. Kauffman
Christian S. Kauffman, after a lingering illness, died at his home in Columbia at 4 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, November 20th, aged 68 years. Mr. Kauffman was the brother of Levi Kauffman deceased, and was well known in this section. He was the father of Senator elect C.C. Kauffman. He was prominently connected with the inron industries of Lancaster county.
I have no connectin to the Kauffman family but found this in an old newspaper in the back of a painting - thought it may help someone out.
