Joe KAUB (Immigrant) m. Kleete, Jegley, Messingschlager (Beck)
My husband, Louis Kunkel is the great grandson of Joseph Kaub who was born in Alsace Lorraine Germany in 1856 (and died in Kenton Co. KY) in 1928.
Joe came to America as a young man and worked in the Sandfordtown area where he met and married Nettie Kleete in 1878.Nettie died in childbirth with their first and only child, Annie. He remarried in 1881 to Anna Mary Jegley (sometimes written Jaekle in the old German records of Holy Guardian Angels Church. This marriage produced three living children:Mamie Kaub who married Tom Fahey (our line) , Gertie Kaub who married Nick Blau, and George Kaub who married Frances Bramlage. Most of these families settled in Independence Kentucky.....on Green Road.
In his later years (probably around 1918) Joe Kaub married a third and last time to Barbara Messingschlager who was a widow named Barbara Beck by then. Many of these folks are buried in Independence at St. Cecelia Cemetery.
Wishing to find more about this family and these cousins....please email and we can compare notes.Thanks...Ann Duncan Kunkel in [email protected]
