Telitha Frances "Tillie" Katz
Somewhere out there in Cyberland, someone knows something about the late Telitha Frances "Tillie" Katz, a full-blooded Choctaw indian woman. Tillie married James Monroe Arnold, Sr. and they lived for decades in Mississippi. After raising her family, Tillie died in Franklin County, Mississippi somewhere between June 1861 and March 1867 (the birth of her last child and the date of her widower's second marriage). Tillie was a daughter of a Choctaw sub-chief known as Little Creek. She is buried in the Old Damascus Cemetery near Lucien, Mississippi. I can find virtually nothing about her parents other than what I have shown here. Her son, William Arnold, was my great-grandfather. I would dearly love to know a little something about this lady. Many thanks.
