Leo Kaszubowski, 82, formerly of 610 River, died at 10:20 9.m. Saturday (Feb. 24) at Alpena Hospital, where he was admitted Feb. 22.
Born Jan. 26, 1891 in Posen, he married Helen Kotwicki on Nov. 13, 1911 at St. Mary Church, of which he was a member. She died March 10, 1969. He had been employed by Huron Portland Cement-co and Fletcher Paper-co, and had served as custodian at St. Mary Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Harry Sytek (Viola) of Alpena, Mrs. Ray Atwood (Dorothy) of Mt. Morris and Mrs. Lee Briley (Theresa) of Taylor; four sons, Julius and Philip of Alpena, Harry of Saginaw and Victor of St. Clair Shores; 18 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Stanley of Bolton and Anthony of Warren; and six sisters, Mrs. John Timmreck (Anastasia) and Mrs. Joseph Kruczynski (Mary) of Alpena, Mrs. Frank Montie (Millie) of Cathro, Mrs. Frank Malenski (Anna) of Posen, Mrs. Joseph Hark (Nellie) of Flint and Mrs. Bernard Jankowske (Jennie) of Standish, a daughter, a son, four brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
Mr. Kaszubowski’s body is at the Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home, where the Rosary will be recited at 8:30 tonight. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Church, with the Very Rev. Raymond Mulka officiating. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery.
