I will be in Poland again on Easter and get some more specific info. The crest of the family is Starykon (which means Oldhorse). You can view this crest for instance here: http://www.polonium.de/docs/ciekawostki/herby/win/herby/starykon.htmlhttp://www.polonium.de/docs/ciekawostki/herby/win/herby/starykon.html
There is a story on how this crest was invented (before it was Topor= an Axe) on this website, if you don't speak Polish I can translate it to you. Also, at the end of the page you will see other names using this crest.
All the family originates from Malopolska (Little Poland), that is around the charming city Kraków (Cracow). 20 years ago I was visiting a salt mine in Wieliczka town (tourist attraction near Krakow) and I saw Kasprzycki name on the shift list. I asked the supervisor where can I meet this Kasprzycki, and he asked "which one? We have 11 Kasprzyckis here." My family lives in Warsaw and I met another Kasprzycki there only once.
There is a painter Jan Kasprzycki in US (www.kasprzycki.com) and there was also another Polish painter in the past Wincenty Kasprzycki. Also Kasprzycki is a name of renowned general which served in Polish army before WWII.
Take care!
