Sharon,
I believe that James Kash was born in North Umberland, PA as well, because his father, John, and mother, Rachel were listed on the tax books of North Umberland County, Pa in 1772 where John owned 300 acres. Some time after the birth of their son James in 1772, the family left PA for Rockingham Co., VA. I descend from this line as well, through Caleb Kash and Mary Ann Wilson.
I'd be glad to share what I have.
