My Great Great Grandfater was Peter Karp.He settled in the Elko - New Market area of southern Minnesota. As I understand it, he had 2 or 3 wives with several children from each. One of his sons, Henry is my great grandfather. He died in 1962.He was married to Elizabeth and they had several children, one of which was my grandfather, Robert Henry (just attended his funeral yesterday).I know that the distinction between all of these Karps is that If your last name is Karp, you live in MN and are Roman Catholic (not Jewish) then you are related to Peter from Germany.
