Thank you for sharing your information on the orgin of the Kappel name. I have wondered if records were destroyed
during World War 2. I have wondered if any of the family were Jewish,and lost in the camps, but as of yet have found no proof.
My grandfather's changed the spelling of the last name, but don't know when they did. Keeps me looking at several spellings.
