I'm looking for my great great grandfather John Kane and where he may have disappeared to. I've been able to track down his wife Margaret and all of their kids but his where abouts seem to keep me confused and stumped. Here's a breakdown of the family.
1.John KANE - He was born Abt. May 1857 in Ireland. He died Aft. 1910.
Margaret F. SHIELS is the daughter of James Shiels and Unknown. She was born on 18 Nov 1859 in Ireland. She died on 20 Sep 1939 in St Paul, Ramsey, Minnesota, USA.
John KANE and Margaret F. SHIELS. They were married on 15 Dec 1883 in St Paul, Ramsey, Minnesota, USA. They had 7 children.
i.Elizabeth Jackson KANE. She was born on 07 Oct 1884 in St Paul, Ramsey, Minnesota, USA. She died on 08 Feb 1979 in St Paul, Ramsey, Minnesota, USA.
ii.James KANE. He was born on 14 Jun 1886 in St Paul, Ramsey, Minnesota, USA. He died on 11 Mar 1960 in St Paul, Ramsey, Minnesota, USA.
iii.John KANE. He was born on 28 Oct 1888 in St Paul, Ramsey, Minnesota, USA. He died on 22 Jan 1978 in St Paul, Ramsey, Minnesota, USA.
iv.William KANE. He was born on 09 Aug 1893 in St Paul, Ramsey, Minnesota, USA. He died on 25 Aug 1948 in St Paul, Ramsey, Minnesota, USA.
v.Jennie Sarah KANE. She was born on 12 Aug 1895 in St Paul, Ramsey, Minnesota, USA. She married William McKinley Beck. They were married on 29 Nov 1915 in St Paul, Ramsey, Minnesota, USA. She died on 28 Oct 1990 in St Paul, Ramsey, Minnesota, USA.
vi.Roy KANE. He was born on 23 Mar 1899 in St Paul, Ramsey, Minnesota, USA. He died on 15 Apr 1964 in St Paul, Ramsey, Minnesota, USA.
vii.Gladys Frances Harriet KANE. She was born on 24 Sep 1901 in St Paul, Ramsey, Minnesota, USA. She died on 14 Aug 1968 in St Paul, Dakota, Minnesota, USA.
The last time I can find the elder John Kane is the 1910 US census and on Margaret's death certificate it suggests she's widowed but beyond that I can't seem to find where he went. I tried to go through the death index here at the historical society but nothing seems to match up with what I do know. I know he worked for a train company, I have to wonder if he passed away out of state, thus leading to the problem, but I don't know...
Any help or possible connections to this line of KANE's is appreciated.
