The following is the beginning of our family tree that we have:
James Knatcher was born in France. He married Polly Roberts.
Children of James Knatcher and Polly Roberts are:
Jim Knatcher, born January 1815 in Madison County, Kentucky; died 1902.
Morgan Knatcher
This information has been compiled by my sister from a variety of sources.
I have just found a reference in LDS records of a James Kanatzer marrying Polly Roberts on Sep. 20, 1823 in Madison County, Kentucky, and this is what led me to this site.
I have extensive information on the first son, Jim Knatcher, since he is in my direct line. We have no information on Morgan.
On another note, I have found a reference to a James Kanatzer being born about 1815 to William Bartleson Kanatzer and Elizabeth Roberts.
This is confusing, to say the least. Especially all the James's (me being one of them).
Of course, I would like to learn as much about my family history as possible and am very willing to share our information with anyone.
