Hi, Liz. My name is Jaime Kamphenkel and I'm Jim's 23 year old daughter. Anyway, I was bored at work tonight & came across these posts between you and my father.

Then, I stumbled across something that you may find interesting. At ,I was looking at the information they have on German Kamphenkel's and Danish Kamphenkel's.

I started with the Germans (my heritage), and became familiar with the names and parents listed. There is an Anna Marie Kamphenkel listed who was born in 1862 (died in 1863). Her parents are listed as Karl Friedrich Kamphenkel and Henriette Rechenberg. There is also a Carl Erdmann Otto Traugott listed that was born in 1957 to Carl Friedrich & Caroline Henriette Rechenberg.

When I started looking at the Danish side of things, I came across a Dagmar Hansine Kamphenkel who was born in 1975 to parents Carl Friederich Kamphenkel & Maren Kirstine Olsen. This may be just a coincidence, but the timing seems pretty right on if your Great Grandfather Waldemar Frederick Rudolph Kamphenkel was born to Carl in c. 1880. Also, in Denmark, born to the same parents are listed a Fritz Carl (1871), Jenny Emilie (1873), & Oscar Oluf (1868).

I thought this was pretty interesting & I hope you can find it useful! Happy digging!
