Lynne,
I'm not positive, but I don't think this is the same Rezin. Here's what I was able to find. In the 1880 census he was 9 and living with his family in Madison Co., Iowa. That record apparently says his middle initial was S. There is a Madison County cemetery record that says he died in 1893 and that his middle initial was E. You can find a photo of his gravestone (Earlham Cemetery) at http://iowagravestones.org/gs_view.php?id=90630. I also found a death notice for him http://www.iowaoldpress.com/IA/Madison/1893/OCT.html
in the Iowa Old Press that says he was an invalid. No mention of a wife.
