Hi Sylvia,

I am curious about your Kalbfleisch family located in Missouri/Illinois. I have been trying to determine if my husband's g-g-grandfather, James Gillmore/Gilmore married Mary Calbifiece/Kalbfleish/Kalbfleisch. I find the family in Alton, Madison County, Illinois, (across the Mississippi from St. Louis) in 1860 & 1870 census records. In 1860 James' wife Mary is listed as being born in Hanover and her mother is apparently living with them - also named Mary. In 1870 the elder Mary is living next door to the Gillmore family. Also of interest is the names Henry, which I noticed in the message you replied to. It is in my husband's family for three generations - Louis Henry, John Henry, and Glen Henry.

Any thoughts or suggestion would be appreciated.

Thank you, Elaine Gilmore
