James Kaiser
Dr. James Lewis Kaiser, 75, of La Quinta died Jan. 5, 2006 in Rancho Mirage.
He was born Jan. 28, 1930 to Cletus and Marie Lewis Kaiser in Evansville, Ind. He married Constance Guetling on Aug. 13, 1949 in Nashville, Tenn.
He was an orthopedic spine surgeon for 50 years and a member of the Indiana Medical Society.
He served in the Navy from 1957 to 1959.
He is survived by his wife, Constance Kaiser of La Quinta; five daughters, Jennifer Palmer of Montecito, Cynthia Louise DeBerry of Seattle and Rebecca Kaiser Corcoran, Julie Kaiser McLaughlin and Kimberly Kay Cullina of Indianapolis; a son, James L. Kaiser Jr. of Covallis, Ore.; a sister, Patricia Fulkerson of Dallas; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 8 to 9 a.m. Tuesday at FitzHenry Funeral Palm Desert Chapel.
A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in La Quinta.
FitzHenry Funeral Palm Desert Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
