I am the g-g-g-granddaughter of Thomas Kain.
My research has found that Thomas had a son Joseph, whose son, William, was my paternal grandfather, Edward's, father.
Can't find much at all about Thomas' life, he was a sawyer who lived in Clarence St, Sydney. He married an Irish convict Elizabeth _______, who came on the Lord Wellington in 1820.
Still trying to find what he was convicted of.

Regards
Raylee Singleton (nee Kain)
