Jesse was a brother to William Justiss..and an uncle to another William Justiss. I'm not certain if there might have been another Jesse as well.
This family was from Georgia and went to East Texas around 1851. William was my great-great grandfather. His son John Williford Justiss was captured and spent the remainder of the war in Camp Butler..a prisoner of war camp in Chicago.
I would like to have a copy of this letter please.
