My name is Candace Renee Junkin. I am decended from The Joseph Junkin 1 line. I am the granddaughter of Daniel Montague Junkin Jr. and Dorothy Hall Junkin. I am sooooooooooo confused. On a Joseph Junkin 1 family website it says this: Joseph Junkin I was born at Monahan, County Antrim, Ulster, Ireland, about 1715. He is thought to have been the son of JOHN LEWIS JUNKIN (1678-1762) and Margaret Lynn (born ca. 1680), daughter of the Laird of Loch Lynn. This has not been documented. In trying to verify this I found this info at other websites and in books... John Lewis was a native & citizen of Ireland who took refuge in that kingdom from the persecutions that followed the assassination of Henry IV of France. His rank was esquire & he married Margaret Lynn daughter of the laird of Loch Lynn who was descended from chieftains of a once powerful Scottish Highlands. John & Margaret had four sons: Thomas, Andrew, William & Charles (it says nohing about Joseph or anything about Junkin) therefore I am sooooooooooooo confused! I am trying..and having no luck I might add.....to find Joseph Junkin 1's parents and go back as far as I can. But things like this ( which I am going to assume is wrong) are confusing me. I do have access to a copy of Repassing At My Side with the pages of corrections ( it is my fathers and I would really like a copy for myself..any help on that would be GREAT too)But do any of you think it's possible to dig further back? If so any suggestions? Sorry for the ramble..atending the Junkin Family reunion in June started this mess...and now I'm hooked!!!!!!! Notify Administrator about this message?
