My ggrandmother's mother was a Junkin from Arkansas. I to have had problems finding info on Junkin's in Arkansas. Let me tell you what she wrote down in the 50's "Concerning background on mothers side...great grandmother Junkin was born in Ireland full blood Irish. Grandfather Junkin, grandmother on fathers side came from Ireland and his father was full blood Irish- his mother was Grandma Evans, they lived in Ozark and was a blacksmith there, he and grandma were buried at Jethro McLaughlin cemetery also granmother Junkin mother Harriet Lockaby and Edna Markahm mymothers sister buried there, also cousin carrie. Grandmother Junkin was part french, this info was given by aunt Lizzie Junkin in 1955. Have you heard of any of these Junkin people, please let me know if you have.
