I need any and all informmation on Reinhard Jung/Young who arrived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania aboard the ship Muscliff Galley, George Durrell, Commander, in 1744, from Rotterdam by way of Poole, Dorsetshire, England. 22 Dec 1744 at the Courthouse at Philadelphia, Reinhard and other immigrants from the ship Musgrave Galley did take the "foreign oaths and qualification to the government". The 1780 Census found Reinhard Jung living in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania and owning 200 acres and operating a still. A son, Felix b. 1747 in Pennsylvania, had by this time changed his surname from Jung to Young. By 1790 Reinhard's Lebanon Township, Dauphin County, had divided into two equal parts. The new part was named Annville Township, (an area formeerly known as Anvil). I believe that Reinhard resided in the township of Lebanon. The 1800 War Tax Assesment of Pennsylvania ( for a potential Napoleanic War that did not occur) found Reinhard's sons Felix, Michael, and Abraham living on adjacent or nearby farms in Lebanon or Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. No mention of Reinhard found at this locaction and time. I am a direct descendant of Felix Young. I have most of the descendancy of Felix Young. I seek the following Information: All facts and sources pertaining to the life of Reinhard Jung/Young. The wife of Reinhard and her data. Facts of life and possible descendancy of Felix's brothers Michael and Abraham Young. I will be happy to contribute information on the Felix Young line. Felix married Elizabeth Vandesaal in 1788. Thank you, Bert Young Notify Administrator about this message?
