An early circus was that of Titus, June, Angevine & Company: Lewis B. Titus, John J. June, and Caleb Sutton Angevine (1795-1859).
Caleb Sutton Angevine was a first cousin of my ancestor Peter Angevine who married first Sarah Conklin and second to his cousin Esther Purdy, daughter of Isaac Purdy Jr. and Susannah (Angevine).

Hachaliah Lyman Bailey, the first circus owner, and his third wife Mary Rafter Purdy (third cousin of Esther Purdy Angevine) had a daughter Jane Bailey (b. 6 OCT 1807) who married Walter Titus Jr. (1809-1878). Walter Titus Sr. was a first cousin of Lewis Brown Titus (11 DEC 1800-29 DEC 1870), the circus owner.

Lewis Brown Titus was the son of John Titus and Susannah Brown, daughter of Hachaliah Brown, meaning that Lewis Brown Titus, the circus owner, was a nephew of Hachaliah Lyman Bailey, the first circus owner.

John J. June (1802-1884) of North Salem, Westchester County, N.Y., son of Zabud June & Mary Bell (Baxter)(daughter of John and Lydia Bell (Reed) Baxter), may be this same John J. June.
However, he was only a third cousin (through the Junes) to Abraham June (1765-1833) who "married" in 1810 Lavinia Titus, widow of William Titus, "killed in a fight with an Irishman."
Abraham June was the son of Ithiel or Jehiel(l) June Jr. and Charity (Baxter), so perhaps there was a closer relationship between John J. June and Abraham June through the Baxters.

Abraham June and Lavinia Titus were the parents of Phineas Titus who married in 1842 Sally Moriah Conklin in Monroe, NY.
I think she may have been related to Peter Angevine's first wife, Sarah Conklin, but not sure. They also moved to Michigan later.
