Hi Sandra,
Your history of the Jukes' was interesting to read.I have not yet reached back very far - I am stuck at my great grandparents.
I don't suppose you have come across any of my lot on your wanderings.....
my Grandfather, GEORGE EDWARD JUKES b1916 had brothers and sisters who were
LES, REG, RON, EDNA, GLADYS, GWEN, LILY, MAVIS, PHYLLIS
some still living?
His wife was ELSIE-MAY CRESSWELL b1914
GEORGE's mother MAY HUNTER has roots in Three Cliffs Bay, Swansea but I am having difficulties with anything definite.I think there was also a RUBY - a sister maybe?
GEORGE and MAY lived in the Wolverhampton area and I think there was a sister-in-law ELSIE HUNTER who had a shop - General Grocers Stores on the corner of Oxford Street and Bath Street in Wolverhampton.Don't have any dates or any hard evidence.
Can anyone else out there help me out?
Hope so, thanks
Helen Jukes
