In the 1920 census there is an Ellen F. Judge,born Ellen Crotty in Newfoundland about 1856-60.She is listed as a widow and mother of the head of the household,who would be either her son Charles S. Judge,age 32,or William,age 34.Ellen's Judge husband died in Nfld. or Canada before she moved to USA about 1889-1891.In 1920 in the house with her and son Charles were the following,all Judges...William J.(34,Ellen's other son),Bertha,age 31(obviously wife of either Wm. or Charles),children Edna C.(11),Norma(10),William(7),Anamae(6),Betty 3. Also Bridget M. Crotty(50),and Margaret Crotty(65). In the 1900 census there had been Johanna E. Judge,age 20,daughter of Ellen,now(1920) presumably married,age 40 and living elsewhere.
Can anyone give me more information on these Judges? I have so far compiled 70 pages on Judge Families of Newfoundland,and happy to exchange information. Almost all Judges in Nfld. over past 200 years are related.Thanks.Ward.wardgreene@hotmail.com
