In the 1900 US Census she is listed as Calla, which is the name she was baptized with; Callie of course being a nic-name. She and George had only the youngest daughter Maudie at that time.
In the 1920 US Census there is absolutely no record of George and his family anywhere; other than son Dillard who was in the Navy; indicating that they were most probably on the move.
In the 1930 Census George reports that he is Widowed, working as a janitor in the Ocala Florida school system;is living with his three youngest?? children; Ella Rhe, General, and Bernice. It is my understanding that Callie moved to Starke with her brother Dillard and his wife; probably having seperated from George prior to 1918. My uncle Larry (George's last child with Calla) told me that George Harold, Ella Rhe, General Saylor, and Bernice were NOT Calla's children. It seems no one knows anything about their Mother; other than she was Greek (according to Larry).
If you have any other helpful information I would be most appreciative.
