Jesse Judd 1806 Winterslow and his son John
In the course of researching my wife'e ancestry, it appears that she is descended directly from Jesse Judd and Jemima Moody, both of Winterslow, Wiltshire, through their son John Judd, who married Ellen, according to various census returns. It is also stated that Jesse died in Victoria, Australia.
On the Ancestry site, a OneWorldTree entry indicates that Ellen's maiden name was Lynes, and that she married John Judd on 8th February 1857 at the RC Church in Alverstoke, which I believe is St Mary's.However, in spite of all efforts, I have so far been unable to confirm this information, and in fact have found no trace at all of the marriage. Can you help me please? Specifically, can you point me to the source of the very precise OneWorldTree information?Perhaps you have a family bible?
Best wishes,
Stephen Avery
