To anyone searching for 'James Judd' the following info was taken from the 'Sherbrooke Daily Record' Sat., 16 Feb., 1907.Note...I'm not researching this surname but wanted to post the info that it might help someone.
James Judd, Formerly of Richford
Richford, VT., Feb. 16.
The death of Mr. James Judd, a former Richford resident, took place on February 5th at his home in Enosburg Falls.The Late Mr. Judd was born in this area on Oct. 27th, 1840, and was therefore 66 years, 3 months and 9 days old at the time of his death.The deceased leaves many friends and relatives in this town, as well as in Enosburg and Sutton.He leaves besides his wife one sister, Mrs. Enoch (Charlotte) Truax, a resident of Dunkin, but formerly for many years a resident of Glen Sutton.During the Civil War, from '61 to '65, the Late Mr. Judd served with distinction for four years,a member of Company K, 6th Vermont, during which time he was wounded severely no less than 4 times, and he suffered from the same to the time of his death.Truthfully, a valiant soldier and patriot has gone.
