Henry Joynt ex Manchester, Eng b.c 1850

Help. I am trying to find the origins of our Henry Joynt b circa 1846 - 1849 may be in Ireland or Manchester. Our Henry married Christina Irvine in 1874 had about 9 children and lived in the Manchester, Salford area for most of his married life. His father (as listed on the marriage cert) was Henry , occ farmer. We suspect that the family came from Ireland during the 1840's famine but we are not sure.
Other Joynts my grandparents (Elizabeth Joynt) 1880 - 1939 talked of her father our Henry talking of his Irish family but nothing in detail. We believe they came from Crossmolina or Ballina.

Anyone with any possible clues please let me know. My Uncle is going to Crossmolina and Ballina mid September 2000 to try to track down some information. Thanks for any information.
