many thanks for your reply regarding the Joynes family,
I had contact with Ian Joynes many years ago but have lost touch with him.
Iam now eager to continue with the Joynes research, ane would like any infomation you have for the Jones family prior to the marriage of Samuel Joynes to Mary Skinner,ie they were married 18th October 1792.
Prior to this date the records are not to be relied on!
I believe that Samuel was the son of a Samuel Joynes who married in Temple Grafton on 31st july 1766 to a mary (surname unknown), and was the possible son of a Joseph Gines and a Margaret Purton, this Joseph Gines was borm in Stratford Upon Avon,which is only some 5 miles from Temple Grafton, Joseph Gines was baptised on 4th May 1745 so this could be possible.
